Dear Colleagues and Associates,
Certainly there has been much anticipation as we have moved into phase 3 in this great reopening of our country, and we are hoping for phase 4 to begin in later June. Nonetheless, stating that as a society we have experienced many challenges in 2020 - that is the understatement of the year!
There are many facets of society that have changed, such as the pivotal roles of any essential worker occupations that are greatly needed during this time! The roles of essential workers are simply busier then ever. The same can be said for a day in the life, and evening, for the care manager, life care manager, case manager, geriatric care manager, or whatever the preferred semantic, of the day is, that describes our wonderful profession.
Elite Life Care Services and Elite Guardian Services are available to their clients and wards on a 24/7 basis! The “Elite Difference” is a never ending constant, within an ever changing world, and universe! What is the “Elite Difference” ? The Elite Difference is a philosophy, not just another mission statement. This philosophy can take on several meanings, when applied as, “ A Day in the Life , or Evening of an ELCS Care Manager!” The Elite Difference, entails the following:
ELCS treats every client and ward as to how we would expect our own family members to be treated. That difference includes a passion for the profession, compassion, empathy, creativity, and a professional approach to solving the clients health, and life challenges! As experts in this field, we are available 24/7
Quite often, the ELCS care manager starts their day before the designated hours of a normal 9am-5-pm business day, or after hours, beyond the 6pm threshold. Why is this? With the complexities of clients and wards needs, ranging from complex mental health cases to unexpected developments at home, for an elderly client, anything can happen, at anytime! Here are some real life scenarios!
Dear Colleagues and Associates,During this pandemic, Elite Life Care Services has received a great response in regards to property clean outs, property renovations, refurbishments, and other estate related services. Now, is the time to complete overdue and important estate related matters - especially as the state mandated restrictions are being gradually adjusted by May 30!
Our licensed and insured team of professional contractor specialists, facilitate all projects by following the recommended guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), in regards to applying all safety measures, including social distancing. All team members are properly masked, gloved, and all recommended aseptic techniques are applied while handling estate related items.

Thanks again and we look forward to seeing all of you soon!

ESSENTIALLY, WE TREAT OUR CLIENTS, AND WARDS, THE WAY, THAT WE WOULD EXPECT OUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS, TO BE TREATED!
How does one make a company, in the business of Caring for others, stand out from all the rest? The short answer is to build a team of people who genuinely Care for their Clients and Wards. This team must start from the top down. This team must be able to demonstrate the genuine care for others more through actions than just saying the right things that people love to hear.
Troy Kerber, Director of Elite Life Care Services, has a mantra he likes to state during every team meeting. Troy always asks, “How can that action be of benefit to the Client?”. You see, at Elite Life Care Services the needs of our clients are of the highest priority! To this end, Mr. Kerber has built a team of people with an amazingly diverse array of backgrounds, but, with one thing in common. We Truly Care!

Difficulties Seniors Face During the Holidays
The holiday season is a time of celebration and happiness. For many seniors, however, it can be difficult to stay positive and happy during this time. To help seniors combat the isolation, lack of activity, and depression that might occur during the holidays, it's important to stay educated and proactive. Below is a guide to what you need to know about seniors and the difficulties of the holiday season, as well as ways to stay upbeat and positive so the holidays can be a more happy, joyous time.
Seniors may find the holiday season less than joyous for a variety of reasons, but here are a few to consider:
Limited mobility: Many seniors cannot move around as they once did, especially with physical limitations. This can make the holiday season less exciting for seniors, with the inability to shop, visit, and celebrate like others limiting the joy of the season.
May is Mental Health Month
During the month of May, Elite Life Care Services joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Established in 1949, Mental Health Month sought to put a spotlight on the importance of mental health and wellness. Each year we continue to fight against the stigma associated with mental health, provide support for those with mental illness, as well as advocate for policies on behalf of those with mental illness and their loved ones.
While 1 in 5 people will experience mental illness over the course of their lifetimes, everyone will face challenges that can and will affect their mental health. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of people of all ages. Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help.
What can an older adult do about depression?
Older adults can be aware of how they are changing as they age and keep a healthy attitude. Remember that getting older is a natural part of life. If you take good care of your body and learn positive ways to deal with stress, you can slow down or even prevent problems that often come with getting older.
